Feeling some of that aloha spirit

Sometimes it’s good to take a wee break from all the snarky ranting and instead focus on the positive things that we all have to be thankful for. And whether that gratitude is for a beautiful sunny day, an unexpected chance to race against your favorite luxury vehicle up a steep and winding road, the amazing people in your life --or even just some awesome hot steamy sex, taking a moment to acknowledge and give thanks is so important.

So as we start off the new month remember that life is short, so live large, laugh often and love deeply…

Aloha my lovelies!
xo The Empress

  1. How very Hawaiian of you! I could use some positive vibes this week as I am moving in 6 days. So i'm on board.

I am thankful for having a job I actually like, great family and a tolerant lady friend who has no idea what she's in for after the hurricane that is my life blows into her house!

  2. @Simple Dude: Awesome! One batch of positive mojo heading your way. Mahalo for sharing the things you grateful for. It is inspiring to others. ...And I'm fairly certain your lady friend knows just how much of a hurricane you really are, as that is probably what attracted her to you in the first place.

  3. I am thankful for the wonderful males in my life.
Putting up with my stress attacks connected with work and the big move.
I am thankful that spring is here and the weekend has wonderful weather.
And I am thankful to have discovered the wonderful blog universe with so many amazing people in it. Big Hugs :)

  4. @Mynx: Here is to a stress-free week and to being thankful ...oh, and of course for the male species! xo

  5. I am thankful that I have a happy and healthy family, and that my hubby has a career for life!

    ps. check out my contest!

  6. This is quite delicious. Great way to share a day. Alohas and shaloms and namastes and ashes and yee-haw & hunkydories to you too m'dear.

  7. I shall contemplate these positive vibes and try to surf down the Thames on a clipboard. it may work.

  8. @Canadianbloggergirl: Thanks for sharing your gratitude. I know this isn't my usual sort of snarky post but there are many sides to The Empress. ...As for your contest, I shall like to order up a tall and handsome Canadian hockey player!

@Rabbit: Mahalo and love you Rabbit! xo

@Madame DeFarge: The Thames on a clipboard, very inventive. Please post photos!

  9. Hey Empress! I am awarding you the 'One Lovely Blog' award :) You can find it and your link here -
    Molly xxx

  10. @Molly Malone: Now that is a great way to make a girl's day! Thank you so much - especially being that I'm on a mission to get B.O.N.'ed. I can use all the props I can get. Now if only those 'powers that be' over at Blogger would get with the program!

  11. Great idea. I've been trying to take time here and there to stop and be thankful for all that I have. :)

  12. @Jess: Why thank you my dear. I'm just sharing the 'aloha' one reader at a time. Have a fantabulous week!

  13. I'm thankful because:

-My new job brought me a new, bigger paycheck
-The drug store was NOT out of our brand of condoms this time
-I can't compromise on the condoms because we *have* to get the XLs ;-)
-The security guard at my work told me today that I "must have guys lined up" for me
-I have a good, supportive family
-I'm not at work right now

  14. Life is short, I will concede that... But don't get too happy on us.

    U r funnier when u r agitated I think.

  15. @Bagel Fairy: Yes, always be grateful for the need for XL condoms!

@Charles: Indeed ...although I think the "Dick Head" post covered a whole heck of alot of snarky so it was time to put a small amount of balance back into the mix. Never fear though, one batch of bitchy agitation coming up soon! Hugs!

  16. Looks to me like people love that you shared your gratitude...go Empress go! I'm cheering you on whether you're ranting or you're gratitude-ing. Either way..I'm a fan! xx

  17. @Cinderita: Thanks my dear! I'm a big fan of you too! xo
