Celebrity Reconstruction – Kim Kardashian edition

As I’ve mentioned before, I have nothing against Kim Kardashian nor do I know her on a personal level. For all I know she is a kind and lovely person with an enchanting personality. Then again she might be a wacky, controlling reprehensible troll. Who in the heck knows?

Either way, most people would probably agree that Kim K. rates anywhere on the ‘scale of attractiveness’ from pretty to extremely beautiful. With that being said, I can’t help but wonder what in the freaking hell is going on with her face lately. Now is it just me or is her face starting to look more plastic than a piece of Tupperware?

Girlfriend repeatedly goes on and on about how she has never ever had any kind of plastic surgery in her life and that she is 100% au naturel. Yet the following photos seem to indicate otherwise:

In Kimmy’s defense, there has to be a lot of pressure to look beautiful and maintain one’s appearance in that crazy-ass town otherwise known as the Hollyhood. It’s either stay on top in the beauty department or end up sadly forgotten like yesterday’s old worn-out trash. So, who can really blame a girl for a bit of tweaking here or there?

And honestly, whose business is it anyway if she did have her nose done, or her lips plumped, or her ass inflated, or her boobs enlarged, or the fat sucked out of her thighs, or her face injected with a bucket-full of spackle? In truth it’s really no one’s business.

Then again you can’t blame people for taking exception to someone going around pretending that they were born looking genetically freakalicious while at the same time assuming that we the public are too bloody stupid to recognize manmade construction when we see it. Especially when that construction is now bordering on the frighteningly fake. …I’m just saying…

  1. I hate how popular plastic surgery has become. It's god awful, I understand it when it's something really needed like after an accident but just for the heck of it. No bueno.

  2. @The Adorkable Ditz: I'm with you! She was naturally pretty before but now is starting to appear obsessed with perfection. Rather sad.

  3. She is getting that pulled-back plastic-y look that Heidi Montag has now, and we all KNOW she's had a boatload of work done.

In the one photo, her eyebrows appear to be in a totally different place on her face. Not like re-shaping, but just... moved... effed up.

  4. @StephanieC: And I thought maybe I was imagining things. Totally effed up!

  5. The worst thing is they deny it. "Oh I would never have surgery" "I intend to embrace my aging" What a load of crap. They could at least treat people with intelligence and admit the they have had some work. I would respect that more.

  6. I used to love Kim K on her show. Even though she's only famous because of her sex tape leak and for being ex-BFFs with Paris (also famous because of a sex tape...interesting). But lately she's been obsessing so much about her age, Botox, etc (but then denying plastic surgery). Kinda disappointing considering she's always going on about being "naturally beautiful". i don't get it, x P

  8. That is a trip! I didn't even notice how much she has changed until you posted the pics! That's a hot mess! I can't imagine being a celeb...there's enough pressure to look a certain way already being the "average Jane" o.O

  9. It's sad. She was such a beautiful girl before. Now she's starting to look like some weird plastic approximation of herself. Stepford Wives anyone?

  10. Hollywood is making the meaning of beauty nearly impossible to compete with. Especially with the ever popular plastic surgery. I hate it. I hate that young girls look at these woman in magazines and see themselves as ugly because they don't look like the airbrushed/plastic celebs.

  11. I've never had any plastic surgery done, but I'm not opposed to it on a moral level.

My big thing is this: 'fess the fuck up.

If you have work done, good for you! But don't be a total douche and try to pass of Dr. McPlastic's work as just a by-product of your fantastical genetics.

  12. She does have a nice rack and a nice ass. Oh wait you were talking about her face. But yes she has a nice ass. lol

  13. Ha, good post. Funny stuff. I love some of your flashy words, i.e. Hollyhood and Freakalicious.

  14. I will NEVER understand this whole "lip-plumping" obsession. Yes, Angelina Jolie's lips are quite plump, and she pulls it off very well. But some people just take it WAY too far!!! It seems like everyone in Hollywood got their lips stuck in a storm drain or something! NOT COOL!!!

  15. I dunno, different make up and shadows and angles can make a face look completely different in photos. Not to say that she hasn't had surgery...I don't pay a single bit of attention to that chick so she could could show up with giant donkey lips and I wouldn't notice. But I'd bet that if average-looking me had pics taken all day every day my nose or lips or whatever would look different in some.

I do love the women like Kathy Griffin and Sharon Osborne who unapologetically (screw you, spellcheck, that's totally a word) own up to their plastic surgeries. They're like really dirt-nasty skanky girls who totally own their cumdumpster status. "You and the rest of society may not approve, but I like to do drugs and fuck and I'm not going to pretend I don't." There's a certain amount of respect in the ownership, even if I disagree with the actions.

  16. She does appear to have changed quite a bit, and on her show she did get botox, but said that it was the only thing she had gotten, but the evidence says otherwise! I don't get why someone who is already beautiful the way they are, i.e. kim k and Heidi Montag go and get work done,, it makes us "normal" girls think that we aren't good enough. Great post!

I'm not one of those people. :P

  18. Your Exhibit C is quite convincing. She looks like two different people...and much better before might I add. I wonder how much that ass inflation costs?

  19. I have something against Kim Kardashian. I know people tend to take quotes out of context and blow stuff out of proportion, but about six months back she said something that was just so hypocritical about how wrong it was for nursing mothers to expose their breasts in public. Really? That from someone who was featured in Playboy? Puh-leeze. I wrote about it here:

  20. Sorry for the delay in being able to moderate your comments today my lovelies. It appears you all have plenty to say on this topic so thanks for your feedback!

@Mynx: I'm with you. Pretending you don't have to do anything to look beautiful is rubbish!

    --------------
@Becca: Not in that family. They are all about plastic surgery, from the mom, sister and step dad Bruce. It's all one big plastic surgery fest!

    --------------
@Falen: So true. The pressure must be great but come on, that chick doesn't even look like the same person any more!

    -------------
    @Lolamouse: Total stepford wives!!

    -------------
@Jumble Mash: So true. Those impossible standards are so unfair for everyone.

    ------------
@A Redhead Named Sam: You said it so well, 'fess the f*ck up' already!

    ------------
@Oilfield Trash: Ha! Good on you for knowing what you like you ass man ; )

    ------------
@A Chicago Blogger: Thanks. I'll have to add them to my Empress Phraseology list.

    ------------
@Candice: I'm with you. The 'ducky lip' syndrome is just plain gross. I believe Angelina was born with her puffy lips and she seems to be one of the few natural celebs. Very rare.

    -----------
@irishgrudge: No doubt Kimmy will appreciate you standing up and giving her the benefit of the doubt. Totally love your phrase "cumdumpster". May I borrow it sometime? ; )

    -------------
@Amber LaShell Rants: She is totally headed down the Heidi Montag track if she doesn't get control of her obsession. ...And I do follow your blog and even have your lovely award posted up with credit to you. : )

    ------------
@Drake Sigar: Not surprised. Some other readers have expressed a similar view point in the past. Thanks for letting the world know that she ISN'T all that : )

    ------------
@Mrs. Hyde: Seriously, like we the people are too damn dumb to notice that she looks completely different now. ...I almost posted pictures showing her before and after ass but we can save that for a future post. xo

    ------------
@Bagel Fairy: I think I even read her quote and though the same thing. Sounds rather hypocritical.

  21. Pretty soon we'll be living in a society of plastic, smooth Stepford wives and that'll be that. You'll be a freak if you have wrinkles or grey hair or extra rolls of fat here and there. It's pretty ludicrous.

Plus you know that people who 'perfect' their faces with surgery can't seem to stop at one. They have to keep on going till they're a circus freak. Scary.

I think in her case she was pretty to begin with but not PERFECT, because no one is, the difference was that she was rich and could afford to change those things, the rest of us don't care that much about, so she did. I always laugh at people who do it to look younger - it doesn't make you look any younger, it just makes you look stretched or a bit off.

  22. @The Vegetable Assassin: Beyond ludicrous indeed!
