Would you like crap service or really incredibly shite service?

Nothing chaps my arse quite like completely and utterly poor service. And yes, I am talking about cell phone stores that tell customers they are all out of telephone numbers, or maintenance technicians who take over three hours to replace appliances, or restaurants that all but forget about easy-to-please and well tipping customers.

To better illustrate what I am talking about check out this little video skit (and no offense to any of you Brits out there):

While the video is of course in jest, it’s still rather mindboggling knowing that situations like this occur around the world each and every day. To think that there are so many highly skilled people out there diligently looking for jobs and so many businesses struggling just to keep their doors open, and yet there are still heaps of incompetent, skiving and ungrateful workers collecting paychecks every week.

So to all of the frustrated unemployed or underemployed masses, I say this is pretty effed up if you ask me. …I’m just saying…

  1. I totally agree with you! I worked in retail for 3 years in college, and I was never rude to a customer (to their face lol). I didn't work on commission, but it was a part of my review. Plus I think of Karma. I despise rude idiots who think they're above everyone because their on the other side of the counter. Or the people that don't give a crap and sit there and chew their gum and stare at you like you're speaking Greek. Oy.

  3. I have had a string of bad service lately.. it started with a restaurant about a week ago where we were completely ignored before we ordered, after we ordered and then later when we tried to pay.

Then last week I had to deal with some people at the post office that had no clue what they were doing.

And finally just this weekend at Starbucks I placed my order then moved over to the "pick up" counter only to wait awhile and watch people who ordered after me get their coffee.. I asked about it and they had forgotten me. shoot!

  4. Well hellfire and burnt panties, she's absolutely radiant compared to all the wads of jack that I constantly deal with on a regular basis with my medical care. I asked one of them is she was born a cunt, or if it was just my lucky day... I have gotten used to it all at this point which is trully 'effed up.' One shouldn't have to get used to flaming assholery.

  5. First, thank you for linking me to the side of your blog.
Next, I work in customer service and am appalled by people in my industry and others who are totally clueless. It is usually much easier to provide quality service than deal with a frustrated and angry person who has been given the run around.
An add running on our tv at the moment is funny because I think we can all relate to it.

  7. Agreed. There is a heck of a lot of terrible customer service going on out there. Some businesses could do with tightening up there service standards or they deserve to go out of business. Harsh maybe but true.

  8. Poor service shows a lack of planning, care and training. It reflects an organizations core values. On top of that it makes you want to punch someone!

  10. I was at a cake decorating store with my friend yesterday. My friend's three-year-old decided she want to keep lifting her dress over her head. Of course my friend corrected her daughter, but the little girl kept at it. The bitch of a cashier had the nerve to suggest that my friend's daughter be a stripper when she grows up! It wasn't my battle to fight, so I kept my mouth shut. But if it were my child, that wrinkled up whore patty would be picking her teeth up off the floor!

You can read more about it on my blog cause I'm all riled up about it again and now I have to vent.

  11. @A Bitch Called Mom: That 'wrinkled up whore patty' pretty much deserved to be picking her teeth up off the floor.
